Still Life? by Kyle Brueggemann
I wanted to show a closeup at the “inner-workings”. An abstract form showing the essential contracting and expanding of feeling and motion through daily life. I first used monster mash to create and animate an abstract form. I then took the form and assembled it into a sort of mosaic in Final Cut Pro. I…

Apothecary(?) by Akua Amponsah
I used Polycam to make a 3d model of some butters (shea, cocoa, mango and some coconut oil) but it came out wobbly. I added in some bottles of oil and a lump of raw cocoa butter and used the smudge tool in Photoshop to make them wobbly as well.

Still Life Abstract (Rachel Oh)
I used Maya to make a 3D model of an abstract environment. I based the scene on this picture I found online: I didn’t have enough time to make the whole scene, so I modeled a couple of the shapes in Maya and added textures to them. For some, I linked Photoshop texture files. For…

Breakfast (WIP) – Makoto Brown

I had a lot of fun playing around with the Monster Mash 3D demo, I liked how easy it was to make things come to life and animate them. I wanted to play around with traditional art meeting this new tech-driven way of making art by 3D modeling the painting The Persistence of Memory by…

Speed Project 3 Zhipeng Sun: Taichi Symbol 3D drawing
I was trying to create a 3d model of Taichi symbol, a traditional symbol representing Daoism thinkings, through the combination work of Monstermash and Print 3D in windows. Here’s the rendered picture of the 3d model. (I tried my best to keep the shape right, but it is still a bit off)

Marshmallow Man at Shibuya Crossing
I tried playing around with some of the tools and had some trouble but I remembered monster mash from the lecture and found it to be interesting. I experimented by drawing blobs to see how it would inflate. Seeing the puffy blobs, I then decided that I would draw the Marshmallow man and animate him.…
