NEW LENSES: Experimental Capture and Release

For my final project, I decided to change my initial idea of manipulating the background in videos to building on my Unit 2 Final Project. I wanted to create a beauty filter that is a collection of many facial manipulations that I see in existing beauty filters on Instagram/TikTok/Snapchat.

I find that there are a lot of similarities in beauty filters like:

1. Smaller nose
2. Slimmer jaw
3. Bigger lips
4. Smooth/perfect skin
5. Lifting the outer corner of the eyes

I also created an “anti-beauty” filter for fun, which I made as a collection of facial manipulations that are opposite of the first filter.

1. Wider jaw
2. Smaller lips
3. Drooping eyes
4. Dragging the face down in general
