Final Project Brainstorm

Idea #1: Creating new art from existing portraits

  • Capture Subject: Experimental Portrait
  • Capture Technique: Generative Art (Pixi.js or p5.js)
  • Platform for Release: website (Pixi) or p5 sketch (p5)
  • Summary: I will test how much I can manipulate an existing portrait photo and make something new from it. I’m going to use a JavaScript library to manipulate the pixels of the image, either p5.js or Pixi.js.

Idea #2: VR Landscape

  • Capture Subject: Experimental Landscape
  • Capture Technique: Premiere Pro (in-app editing)
  • Platform for Release: YouTube
  • Summary: I will take videos of my point of view while walking somewhere and have the phone show a different environment into the video. I will probably need to look for online or mobile apps that allow me to view a panorama image through the camera. Otherwise I think I will just do Photoshop or some kind of editing in Premiere.

Idea #3: Memories film

  • Capture Subject: Experimental Events
  • Capture Technique: Time-lapse
  • Platform for Release: YouTube
  • Summary: I will stitch together all the videos in the memories section of the photo app on my phone. Then I wanted to experiment with the couple of time manipulation tools and create a larger video from them.
