NEW LENSES: Experimental Capture and Release

Using some of my favorite photos I’ve taken on film as a springboard for my thoughts, I made a little zine! The page count at the bottom indicates how the paper will be folded and can be edited out. I used found images to collage my photos and played around with text. I wish I stuck to a clearer theme, but I like the overall chaotic feel of it as it’s just a bunch of thoughts I’ve been having lately and I think the messy visual aesthetic aligns with the clutter of thoughts.

Planning from April 13 W:

i’m planning to make a zine that is composed of various instructional guides on how to spiral/reel over heartbreak lol. Talking to some friends now on what else I could add. I want to make it both funny and like super tragic.

some pages i ideated: how to hold a funeral, how to build a god complex, song recommendations for an unhinged playlist, etc.

I’ve started looking for images online, then I’ll transfer them and make the final zine onto photoshop most likely.
