Kyle Brueggemann • Still Life From the Year 3022

For my final unit project, I decided to expand further upon the dimensional still life prompt. I took rendering screenshots from a 3d Unity project. I then took this screenshot and manipulated it in an application (Video Pattern) that swirls the different visual values around in different formations. I then took this visual output and made it 8-bit. I also experimented with the Glitche iPhone app. During my creation process, I wanted to create flower-like formations, showing a pixelated flower still life, however during my experimentation I ended up with images resembling more closely animorphic figures and models that looked like they belong in a video game. Under each pic, I included a caption of what I see when I look at every image, to get everyone’s imagination running. However, I hope everyone can imagine their own meaning within the abstract design.

lion fish
water ripple
spaceship
mecha tiger
flower bud
lion
manta ray
cells
frog
water splash
dragon egg

In regards to how I would release this experimental capture project to the world, I could definitely imagine these images becoming NFTs. They match the popular pixelated, cartoony style that a lot of NFT’s follow.

For reference, here is the original rendering that I manipulated.

Manipulating further for fun:
