NEW LENSES: Experimental Capture and Release

I decided to elaborate on my week 2 speed project, as well as the general themes present, but instead of playing around with repetition I wanted to explore what could be conveyed with emphasizing both symmetry and asymmetry. I liked the idea of multiplicity telling its own story, but i liked it especially with aspects of ones self rather than with entire bodies being duplicated (in other words, my body is the site?). I drew inspiration from people’s interpretations of biblically accurate angels (solely for ideas on how to distort myself, not to make any statements) and tried to create something abstract and familiar featuristically (which allegedly isn’t a real word). I had only used images on my tablet at that moment but I would ideally like to reimagine other images in this style, using test photos I’ve taken of my friends.
